Exch>>OU
Hello, we're running Win2K3 enviroment with Exchange 2003, today i moved bulk users to new OU so they lost the ability to send an external emails and they just got NDR of (you don't have permission to send to this recpient), i think it's a little strange when i know that OU was created in same permissions of the old one that had the affacted users before, and i wait for two hours but the problem still existed but after three hours it works suddenly. so, what's the problem causes to user Exchnage proprties by moving users to new OU knwoing that GPO and permissions linked to new OU are the same in both sources and destenation ones. thanks Najee

OU location shouldn't have any affect on Exchange as the users mailbox is an attribute on those user objects. Do you have any outbound spam filtering software that looks for users in that specific OU?Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hello najee, If you created a New OU with the same permission as old OU then it should work. one think you can try. Go to Sites & services and force the Replication for all domain controller. Then try to check the mail flow for those users, and it should work.EXCHANGE2010, MCSE, MCTS, MCSA MESSAGING, CCNA & GNIIT

Dear Mark, actually, no we don't have any outbound spam filtering box or software but in exchange routing group, we configure the delivery restrictions of Internet mail smtp connector to reject messages from everyone by default and accept messages from users we specify only. thanks Najee

Dear PKT, actually, the new OU has been created with same permissions granted to the old one but the only different is the new OU created directly in the Root of our forest AD structure but the old one was deep in level Three, but all of them inherits same permissions . and regarding the replication, i check the latency using the command: repadmin /latency and i found all normal but i force the replication too and try with no result. thanks Najee
